TID: Increase of Leakage Current

• the conductivity along the SiO2 layer is increased due to the additional permanent charges at the interface (source drain leakage current)

• seems to be independent of lateral isolation techniques in NMOS gates

• leakage current within a transistor but also between adjacent transistors
