DESCRIPTION
The Model V 262 is a multipurpose I/O register housed in a 1-unit wide VME module.
Input signals are received through four front-panel Lemo 00 type connectors, terminated in 50 Ohm impedance, and are converted from NIM to TTL level before being stored into the NIM LEVEL REGISTER.
It is possible to read the NIM LEVEL REGISTER content by performing a READ cycle via VME.
Outputs can be:
- 4 NIM pulses. They are generated by performing a WRITE cycle at the BASE + H08 address. This operation stores data into the NIM PULSE OUTPUT REGISTER. Before going to the 4 Lemo 00 type output connectors, data are converted from TTL to NIM level.
- 4 NIM signals.They are generated by performing a WRITE cycle at the BASE + H06 address. This operation stores data into the NIM SIGNAL OUTPUT REGISTER. Before going to the 4 Lemo 00 type output connectors, data are converted from TTL to NIM level.
- 16 ECL differential signals. They are generated by performing a WRITE cycle at the BASE + H04 address. This operation stores data into the ECL SIGNAL OUTPUT REGISTER. Before going to the 34 pin output connector, data are converted from TTL to ECL level.
The Module operates in A24 D16 mode. The module's base address must be set through 4 rotary switches housed on the piggy-back module plugged into the printed-circuit board.
