Air Shower Simulations With CORSIKA: The CORSIKA program is a versatile tool to simulate in detail the development of extensive air showers in the atmosphere, induced by energetic cosmic rays, gamma rays or neutrinos. While CORSIKA was developed for KASCADE it became the standard simulation tool for all experiments dealing with air showers or high energy interactions in the atmosphere. All secondaries produced are tracked until they interact of decay. Hadronic interaction models are the most uncertain part of CORSIKA. A range of hadronic interaction models is available in the code to allow tests of systematics.
