Java Web Start Applications

Java Web Start technology works with any browser and any Web server.
Using Java Web Start technology, standalone Java software applications can be deployed with a single click over the network. Java Web Start ensures the most current version of the application will be deployed, as well as the correct version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

To run an application using Java Web Start, click the [Launch] button. The first time you run an application, there will be a delay while Java Web Start downloads the JAR file containing the class files for this applications. Afterward, the applications should execute more quickly.
