The development of new detector technologies for particle physic experiments
is important for new answers from investigations in unexplored energy regions
or at higher level of precision. The Zeuthen "FTT Group" tries to contribute
to this field using different types of scintillator materials as basic
components. Starting in 1988, various fast triggering and tracking detectors
have been developed for several experiments at accelerators and in cosmic
particle physics. Within an extensive R+D program the test of ideas for
detectors of the next generation is in progress considering also different
technologies like acoustic calorimetry.
