Data Collection and Distribution
- Each Collecting Site Maintains a List of Remote Sites That Are of Interest to It
- Each Collecting Site Runs a Perl Script (timeping)
- Every 30 Minutes: First One 100-Byte Ping, Then Ten 100-Byte, Ten 1000-Byte Pings Sent
- Each Collecting Site Also Runs a CGI/Perl Script (pingdata)
- Makes the Data Collected Above Available via HTTP
- Allows Data for Specifc Time and Sites to Be Retrieved

- Each Analysis Sites Run A Perl Script (pingcollect)
- Retrieves Data from Collecting Sites
- Puts It in a Common Storage Format
- Analyis Site Also Runs a Perl/CGI Script (pinggraph)
- Allows User to Generate Graphs for Specific Links and Times through WWW Form
- Uses the SAS/Graph System for Analysis and Graph Generation
- Graphs are Produced in Postscript and Can Be Converted to PDF by Request
