This slide shows the Hardware or System Life Cycle Model which is based on the PSS-05 Software Life Cycle Model. This table shows the phases of the project and the items, it is how the project is organised.

The three first phases constitute the project preparation period, while the next two the development period. The transfer (system integration) period consist of only one phase.

I am not able to go through this model, because it would take too long time. I would like to underline only what changes have been made in the original life cycle model (the changes can be seen in red), in order to adapt this software oriented standard for the hardware projects:

• a new item, the USED TOOLS has been added (because the tools are very important for the hardware projects);
• the TEST phase has been separated from the DD phase (because the the one of the most important phase of the hardware development);
• the TRANSFER phase includes the system integration tasks (because the DDL will be integrated into the data acquisition system).
