The Deutsche Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY in Hamburg and Zeuthen,

                  member of the Hermann von Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft Deutscher

Postdoctoral Position

 

in Elementary Particle Theory

 

 

 

This position is funded by the European Research Training Network EURIDICE, HPRN-CT2002-00311, "European Investigations on Dafne and other International Collider Experiments using Effective Theories of Colors and Flavours from the Phi to the Upsilon,".

In short, age 35 or less at the time of appointment (with allowance for military/civil service and child care) and a national of an EU Member State or Associated State or a resident in an EU Member State for at least five years immediately prior to the appointment.

The activities cover: Electroweak precision physics, (effective) quantum field theory, perturbative and non--perturbative methods, in particular, perturbative QCD and lattice QCD, radiative corrections, precision calculations of fundamental parameters, low/high energy phenomenology and TESLA physics.
You are expected to pursue research in the areas covered by the
EURIDICE proposal.

 

The position is  available for 10 month, starting by Spring 2005. The salary and the social benefits correspond to those in German public services.
