The Luminosity Calorimeter and the Large Angle Tagger are implemented
as
described in the TDR as SI-W calorimeters with fine sampling in both
the transverse and the longitudinal direction. The LAT is part of the
calorimeter system and as such is used in the reconstruction of the
energy flow in the event.
